Belladonna is one of the best choices when it comes to finding a homeopathic migraine remedy. Migraines that start in the back of the skull or upper neck and which spread to the forehead and temple may indicate a need for this remedy in particular. Pain is throbbing or pounding and becomes worse form jarring, light and noise.

Belladonna is known as being an excellent first aid remedy, one which is useful for complaints of sudden onset where one part of the body becomes inflamed or infected, and especially for migraines.

Another popular homeopathic migraine remedy is cimicifuga. This remedy is often indicated for migraines with throbbing pains or shooting pains in the eyes. Headaches are often associated with the menstrual period or come on after long term study or worrying. The muscles of the neck are usually involved in these migraines, and the person will probably feel very mentally dull and gloomy, even if they are usually a very bright and happy person.

This is largely a womens remedy of course due to the menstrual cycle relation, and is good for migraines but also for menstrual symptoms and early miscarriage.

Another homeopathic migraine remedy that you may want to try is cyclamen. This is best for those migraines that start with flickering in the eyes, dim vision, or dizziness. Pain is often right-sided with these migraines and may even involve the ear.

The person will often feel very sick, even nauseated and possibly even vomit. They will also tend to be very thirsty, very sensitive to old, and worse from open air. People who need this remedy are usually quite emotional.

Make sure that you talk to your doctor before trying any of these remedies, just so that they are aware and can make sure that you are not going to be putting yourself at any risk. If you are already on medication for instance, it may not be wise for you to start trying different homeopathic remedies.
